Jose that checked us in was very nice. Customer before me had a problem with her reservation and he gave her options that made her happy . Breakfast had good choices. Location works well to gas up and hit the road....

The motel was vintage but nicely refurbished. It was right downtown. It was very clean, including the parking lot. The wifi was very good. Breakfast was nice, in a nice breakfast room. The bed was quite comfortable.

Location, walking distance to the new center with shops, eateries and culture, arts. I booked a last minute ticket to Stoneport playhouse. Mexican restaurant and seafood/full bar restaurant access from the parking lot!

The Thunderbird still has the nostalgic "motel" feel but, unlike most other mid-century properties of this kind, it has been smartly upgraded. The interior decor, breakfast room, and amenities are first rate and the staff goes out of its way to make sure you have what you need.

The pool was nice and clean, warm and had an area shallow enough for my almost 2 year old son.. it was a BIG bonus after we had been on the road all day. Jose, who was in the office, was super nice and welcoming.. if I'm ever in town again, I'm without a doubt staying there again!
